Bee Healthy, Bee Efficient…

Bees are careful to conserve their precious fuel during the hunt and harvest of resources in order to avoid depleting themselves. They factor in the costs of collection for maximum production at minimum expenditure of energy. They never compromise the long-term success of the organisation by exhausting their capacity to perform.

When people tire out, they tire in different ways, some call in sick, others slow their work pace, some will become increasingly lax in the delivery of service or will make mistakes. Beverley Le Cuirot is the founder of WellBeing World, in the recent Spring/Summer 2013 edition, she wrote:                    “The link between health and employee productivity is becoming increasingly clear. Employers are starting to understand that the impact of health and wellbeing goes far beyond private medical and disability costs; there are also the costs of absence, stress, employee performance, and the indirect cost and implications associated with reduced employee productivity, such as reduced customer service levels.”

Research shows that as many as 13.5 million working days are lost in Britain each year through work related stress. The Key is for employers to concentrate on enabling employees to be effective in their jobs, so would it not be a good time to start looking after your employees’ wellbeing??

The Autumn/Winter 2013/2014 edition of WellBeing World Magazine is due to be distributed today, so look at for it, and pick up a copy, or just watch it online:
